We all know that a scented candle is a fabulous luxury, bringing you peace and joy at the end of a hard day and don't they make a great gift for friends and family!
Dearne from Endear Soy Candles individually hand pours her candles using both essential oils and fragrances into both modern and vintage style jars and containers.
After 15 years of working in an office, Dearne started Endear Soy Candles 2 years ago, because she wanted to create a more natural candle that wasn't overpowering, hence the use of essential oils.
She now loves the freedom that owning her own business gives her and adapting her product as she grows. When she first began making candles she only used essential oils, but has slowly progressed to using fragrances as well in order to appeal to a wider audience.
Dearne is very hands on as she hand blends the essential oils, chooses all the jars and designs all the labels and she just LOVES the creative process that goes into the final product!
"Having someone come in and tell me that they love a scent or jar that I have chosen; the looks on peoples faces
when they smell a candle for the first time and they are like 'Wow that smells amazing!'"
The future of Endear Soy Candles will see the addition of more body products and the launch of their own range of essential oils.
To compliment her candle making skills, Dearne has also spent the last 4 years studying to be a Naturopath and graduated at the end of last year (Congratulations!) so she is also busy building a client base for her Naturopath Clinic in Renmark. She also became an xtend barre instructor at the beginning of the year, so keeping a variety of skills and things on the go must keep her very busy, but all seems to be a good balance.
Meet Dearne on the gathered. cart from next Monday 12th - Sunday 18th December, in the middle of the mall of the Fresh Food Market at Westfield Marion or contact her at email@example.com.
